The Biofarma Group finalised the acquisition of 100% of U.S. Pharma Lab, a leading and fast-growing company in the US market focused on the development, production and distribution of nutraceuticals (including probiotics, vitamins and minerals, supplements and premium food ingredients).
This acquisition completes a further step in the international industrial growth project launched in recent years by the Biofarma group, and gives rise to the first and only large global CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation) specialising exclusively in the nutraceutical and cosmetics sector, with a turnover close to 500 million euros thanks to a manufacturing footprint in the United States, Europe (Italy and France), and Asia (China), a range of cutting-edge technologies with strong probiotic and nutraceutical expertise on both sides of the Atlantic, and strong commercial partnerships in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors. US Pharma Lab is a CDMO that particularly specialises in solid nutraceutical and probiotic-based technologies and boasts production facilities located in the state of New Jersey in the USA and a manufacturing subsidiary in Shanghai, China.
